Dilution Guidance

Castor oil is highly viscous and is almost always blended with lighter carrier oils for easier application:

• Hair masks / scalp blends: 20–30% castor oil in a lighter carrier (e.g. coconut, jojoba, or sweet almond oil)
• Lash & brow conditioning: Use undiluted or at 50% in a lighter oil
• Skin emollient blends: 5–15% in a lighter carrier or lotion base
• Lip products: Up to 40–60% depending on desired consistency

Using undiluted castor oil directly on the scalp or full lengths may make rinsing difficult due to its thick texture.

Texture & Application Tips

• Warm the oil briefly between your palms before applying — this reduces viscosity and improves spreadability
• A little goes a long way; start with a small amount and build up
• Due to its occlusive nature, shampoo twice when washing out of hair

Storage & Shelf Life

• Shelf life: 12–18 months from production date
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep lid tightly closed
• Refrigeration: Not required but extends shelf life; the oil may thicken in cold temperatures — warm gently before use
